Electrical Installation Condition Reports in West Cumbria

An Electrical Installation Condition Report - commonly known as an EICR - is a formal assessment of the safety and condition of a property's electrical installation.

EICRs are now a legal requirement for private landlords in England, who must have their rental properties inspected at least every five years and provide tenants with a copy of the report. They are also strongly recommended when buying or selling a property, or if you have moved into a home and are unsure of the age or condition of the wiring.

During the inspection, we will carry out a thorough examination of the consumer unit, wiring, sockets, light fittings, and all associated electrical accessories. The inspection includes a series of electrical tests to verify that circuits are safe and properly protected.

At the end of the process, a formal report is produced, with any observations graded according to their urgency: C1 (danger present), C2 (potentially dangerous), C3 (improvement recommended), or FI (further investigation required).
